FAQ

Getting you answers to your questions!

  • What insurance do you accept?

Brashear's Pharmacy accepts almost all Medicare Part D insurance plans, Florida Medicaid plans like Staywell, and employer plans like Florida Blue and United Healthcare.

No prescription insurance? That's okay!  We'll work with you to match or even beat what you've been paying elsewhere. Just talk to one of our friendly pharmacists who can help.

  • How soon will I get my prescription after it transfers?

We can either transfer your prescription and get your medication ready now, or, save it on file for when you need it next. You can call, fill out the form on the website, email us, or stop in one of our locations to transfer your prescription. We'll get it ready as soon as possible.

  • What type of payment methods do you accept?

Visa, Mastercard, Discover, cash, and checks (no checks on controlled substances).

  • Is it possible to speak to a Pharmacist privately about my concerns?

Yes, always.  Our pharmacists are quick to answer the phone when you call and we have private counseling rooms available at our locations.

  • Is there a way to avoid longer wait times?

Long wait times aren't a problem at Brashear's Pharmacy.  We know when your medication is due and start working on them before you need to pick them up.  New prescriptions can be filled in less than 20 minutes if you're waiting on them.

  • What will the price be on my prescription?

We can run your medication through your insurance and tell you your co-payment before you pick it up.  If you need a less expensive medication let us know.

Our pharmacists can consult with you and your doctor and discuss alternative drug therapies that could be available at a lower price.

  • I'm currently being treated by a pain management physician. Can you fill my narcotic pain medication?

Our policy is to only dispense for local patients being treated by local pain management physicians.  While we can't just freely dispense narcotics, we can work with you to make sure your pain management needs are met.

We invite you to start a conversation with our pharmacists in person and submit a Pain-Management Initial Evaluation Form before bringing us your pain management prescription.
